EA 18G Growler – This new technique is critical to the Navy's plans for combat in a threat environment dominated by advanced integrated air defense systems that could include a VHF radar more capable of tracking stealth aircraft and highly mobile double-digit surface-to-air missiles ( SAM) systems such as the Russian-made S-400 Triumf (SA 21 Growler) or the Chinese HQ-9. The Boeing EA-18G Growler is an American carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft. The EA-18G replaces Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowlers in service with the United States Navy.
