This Is Why No Nation Wants to Fight the Leopard 2 Tank (Including Russia)
The Leopard 2 is a 3rd generation main battle tank originally developed by Krauss-Maffei in the 1970s for the West German army. Although the Leopard 2A6 only has the standard L 55 cannon, it remains one of the deadliest tanks in NATO. As Russia prepares to launch its next-generation T-14 Armata, NATO countries are increasing the pace of their existing tank modernization programs. This tank first entered service in 1979 and replaced the previous Leopard 1 as the main battle tank of the West German Army.
